WindAdvantage 2023: "The Art of the Blade"

This is a feature article I wrote for the spring issue of WindAdvantage, a mini magazine for the Iowa landowners that host MidAmerican Energy's wind turbines across the state. A common opposition point on wind turbines is the question of what happens to old or damaged turbine blades. This spotlight article on the company's newest blade recycling partner  helps answer that question.

Here is the full fall issue of MidAmerican Energy's WindAdvantage publication for wind turbine host landowners. For this issue, I wrote a letter to landowners on behalf of MidAmerican's senior VP of renewable generation, a feature on a special opportunity for local teachers to climb to the top of a wind turbine, a look at MidAmerican's use of drones to quickly inspect tall structures, and more.
